SECOND TIME IS A CHARM... AND THEN SOME!

The Second City is returning to the Touhill, which was entitled as the company’s “Second Home” last year, to present a hilarious sketch comedy entitled “Truth, Justice or The American Way” on both Friday, May 11th at 7:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 12th at 5:00 p.m.

With the current success of Second City alums such as Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, and Tina Fey – comedians who added political twists to their work – this political and edgy satire couldn’t come at a more poignant time. From the battle of the sexes to the battles at the voting booth, Truth, Justice or The American Way will provide great a hilarious and insightful look into contemporary American culture.

Additionally, the Touhill will be hosting its first benefit event in its four-year history. “Share Your Cents of Humor” is a fundraiser event featuring a special performance by The Second City, including exquisite eats by Steven Becker Fine Dining and “giggletinis” (cocktails) prior to the show. Share Your Cents of Humor takes place on Saturday, May 12th at 7:30pm.

Tickets for The Second City are $35 (general admission). The Second City will also be the feature performance in the Touhill Performing Arts Center’s first endowment benefit event on Saturday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m. “Share Your Cents of Humor” begins with “giggletinis” and exquisite eats by Steven Becker Fine Dining and culminates with a tailor-made hilarious performance by The Second City. Tickets for the benefit event “Share Your Cents of Humor” are $150, which include admission to the VIP party and The Second City performance, or $250 to also receive a program mention.

For more information or to purchase tickets to The Second City performances or the “Share Your Cents of Humor” benefit, please call the Touhill at 314.516.4949 or toll-free at 866.516.4949, visit www.touhill.org or stop by the Touhill’s Ticket Office, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. located at 8001 Natural Bridge Rd.
